Inspection checklist

  • Cables are not loose on floors or walls.
  • Connectors are protected from pulling and damage.
  • Cable trays, conduits, or trunking are used where required.
  • Power and data cables are segregated where required.
  • Patch panels and communications cabinets are locked where needed.
  • Cable labels or colour coding are clear.
  • External/provider junction points are considered.
  • No unapproved or unknown cabling is present.
  • Findings are assigned and tracked.
