Terms of Service

These terms govern use of unixtime.com and the planned UnixTime Dispatch SMS program. The SMS provisions below apply when enrollment is opened. SMS enrollment is currently unavailable, and the website does not collect mobile numbers or SMS consent while the program remains in pre-registration.

Website use

UnixTime publishes technical articles and research material for general informational and educational use. The material is not legal, financial, or other professional advice, and it does not replace review of the facts, systems, contracts, laws, standards, or official documentation that apply to a specific decision.

You may link to public UnixTime pages and use the site through ordinary browser and feed interfaces. Do not attempt to bypass access controls, disrupt the service, submit malicious content, impersonate another person, or use the contact and subscription endpoints for automated abuse.

Third-party products, standards, services, and websites may be referenced for context. UnixTime does not control those third parties and does not guarantee their continued availability, accuracy, or security.

UnixTime Dispatch SMS

When enrollment is enabled, UnixTime Dispatch SMS will send recurring UnixTime technical article and publication updates to US mobile numbers. Message frequency varies, up to four messages per month. Message and data rates may apply.

Enrollment is optional. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of submitting a contact request or purchasing goods or services. By enrolling, you confirm that you are authorized to use the mobile number provided and agree to receive automated recurring messages from UnixTime for the stated program purpose.

Reply STOP to unsubscribe. Reply HELP for help, or email contact@unixtime.com. A request to stop applies to future recurring UnixTime Dispatch SMS messages associated with that number. A later opt-in is required before recurring messages can resume.

Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery can be affected by carrier availability, device settings, network conditions, and number changes. Keep the mobile number associated with your enrollment current and do not enroll a number you do not control.

SMS privacy

UnixTime does not sell, rent, or share mobile numbers or SMS consent records with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. UnixTime may disclose this information only to service providers and telecommunications carriers that help operate and secure the SMS program, or where disclosure is required by law.

The Privacy Notice describes the planned data fields, purposes, recipients, retention criteria, and rights associated with SMS enrollment.

Intellectual property

Unless a page states otherwise, UnixTime owns or licenses the site design and original published material. Quotation, citation, and other use remain subject to applicable law and any license or attribution shown with the material. Third-party names and marks belong to their respective owners.

Availability and changes

UnixTime may correct, update, suspend, or remove site content and features. No uninterrupted or error-free availability is promised. Material changes to these terms will be identified by a revised effective date. If an SMS change materially affects consent, purpose, or frequency, UnixTime will obtain any new consent required before relying on the change.
